Already reeling under the recent outbreak of bird flu virus in Bhaktapur, chicken from three poultry farms in Kavre district have been confirmed with the deadly virus as of Monday.
According to the District Veterinary Office, three poultry farms have been confirmed with the H5N1 virus following the tests.
The avian influenza virus was confirmed at Nepal Hatchery,Sanga, poultry farm of Bhagwan Khatri at Ugratara-4 and his another farm at Nasika-2.
Meanwhile, Chief District Officer Durga Prasad Bhandari has already given detectives to cull the infected chicken from the farms.
